Right:A kind of lily named Teppou Yuri(Teppou means a gun;Yuri means a lily).The Village office plants these lilies every year in a garden named Lily Field Park.This photo was taken on 24April2002 by Mr.Okada lives in Mie Pref.50% are blooming.
Okiwawa islands are surrounded by the sea,therefore there are many clouds.So,the Sun sets toward the clouds usually.It is rare toward the horizon like this picture.

There are many farm ponds here in Iejima because of no river here.This was taken at one of them.I like this pond but the village office is going to break it.

US marines sometimes come to this island and train their soldiers.As a reward,Japan government gives the village office and landowners huge money.
